20/20 Exhibition 2025 - Artist Call

A fun exhibition for local artists of all ages and abilities

The 20/20 exhibition is designed to embrace a wide range of people and will include professional
and amateur artists. No artistic experience is required as all submissions will be accepted and
displayed – the only limiting factor will be the capacity of the gallery space.

EXHIBITION: Tues 13th May to Sat 21st June 2025 (Last showing)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Midnight Monday 5th May 2025
OPEN EVENING: Friday 16th May 7-9pm. All are welcome

EXHIBITION SCHEDULE:
HANDING IN DAYS: 8th 9th or 10th May 2025.
COLLECTION DAYS: 23rd June 2025 then by arrangement/appointment.
GALLERY OPEN TIMES: Tuesday to Saturday 09:30am till 4:00pm.

ENTRY CONDITIONS:
• Entry is open to all regardless of artistic ability.
• The maximum size for work is 20cm x 20cm.
• Work should not be framed.
• Work can be produced on any surface provided it is capable of being hung using Velcro. This will include canvas boards, card and timber.
• Work on paper is best fixed to mountboard for ease of hanging.
• A maximum of 5 works can be submitted for a non-refundable fee of £2 per work.
• Payment will be by cash only on the day of hand in.
• All work must be original and been made by the artist.
• All works must be for sale.
• Acceptable works include paintings, prints (not Giclee), photographs, textiles.
• There is no selection process; all work will be accepted upon payment of the fee. Limits will apply dependent on the capacity of the gallery in use. Therefore, work will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Gallery 2 will host the first exhibition and has a capacity of 400 entries once that number has been reached entries will close.

PRESENTATION OF WORK:
• Work can only be on a 20cm x 20cm surface which should be sufficiently firm to be fastened to the wall using Velcro. Please note the advice in the previous section.
• A label should be fixed to the back of the work containing your name, title and contact details preferably and email address. This is important to identify the artist if a work is sold.

COMMISSION ON SALES:
• All work will have a fixed price of £20.
• The centre will take a commission of £5 on all sales with the artist receiving £15.
• When you make application, the form asks for your bank details. This will speed up the payment process. If you don’t supply these details the process might be delayed whilst we make contact with the artist to organise payment. The details will not be retained following the exhibition/payment.

PAYMENT ON SALES:
• If work is sold the artist will be contacted by the organisers and the details passed onto the centre/accountant for payment.
• Payment will normally be made within 30 days, provided payment has been received from the purchaser.
• Any unpaid or uncollected works by a buyer will be returned to the artist after this period unless alternative arrangements have been made by the buyer. The artists will be informed in this circumstance.
• Please note you must have a label on your work so the selling artist can be identified. If you don’t it may delay payment.

INSURANCE:
• There is a maximum insurance value of up to £2000.
• No responsibility is taken by the gallery for damage to unsold works that have not been collected on the date specified.
• Given the unconventional nature of the exhibition and the hanging technique all participants are advised to consider having their own insurance for their work.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF WORK:
• All work must be delivered on the dates specified. Please notify the organisers if there are any special arrangements for delivery or collection of work.
• All work must be unwrapped and ready to hang , and all packaging removed from site.
• Unsold works must be collected on the specified collection date. Uncollected work will be stored for one month in the print room and after this time the centre reserves the right to dispose of the works as it sees fit.
