Coming soon Jane Beech
I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember, with varying degrees of success. They say you learn by your mistakes! I put my art career down to persistence and a love of the subject, and of course, Starsky and Hutch… As a teen I had a crush on Starsky. He appeared on the cover of the Radio Times on a regular basis and that is when I discovered the grid system and taught myself to draw using it. I was hooked and as they say, the rest is history. So thank you Paul Michael Glaser.
After completing my degree in Art and Design, I pursued a career in illustration, working for various organisations and in industry. As time went on, I diversified and began to teach Art to adults which I love. This exhibition showcases some examples of my watercolour work. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did painting them.
I base my teaching style on teaching students what I wish I had been taught myself when I first started out, so I can help people realise their own artistic potential and build their confidence and ability. I believe everyone can draw or paint if given the right materials, shown how they work and what to do if it all goes horribly wrong!
I offer courses on a weekly basis as well as one day courses and residential courses at Higham Hall near Bassenthwaite in the Lake District in Watercolours, Drawing and Sketching, Pen and Ink and Pen and Wash. Locally I teach at Frodsham Community Centre, Frodsham also Caldy Valley Community Centre in Chester and the Daniel Owen Centre in Mold.
If you would like to know anymore about my art classes, just get in touch. Happy Painting!
