Acrylics and Mixed Media Workshop

Dates/Times: Tuesdays 7-9pm, Oct 22, 29, Nov 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 3 (7 weeks) 

Level: Suitable for beginners to more advanced 

This comprehensive mixed media workshop explores combining different mixed media techniques which includes: 

• Acrylic painting techniques including colour theory and colour mixing 

• Developing layers with various acrylic gels & pastes to create textural surfaces, effects and finishes 

• Monoprinting using the Gelli plate to create papers for collage 

• Combining wet and dry media and expressive mark making 

• Working with found objects/elements 

• Developing semi-abstract/abstract compositions 

• Paint effects and finishes 

The general theme for this workshop will be rural/urban landscapes, nature or botanicals 

All materials and equipment provided. Participants are also free to bring their own. 

£20 per session pay as you go or in full at first session attended.
