Mixed Media Life Drawing Masterclass

This new life drawing class provides tuition/tutor guidance for beginners/intermediate levels and encourages participants to experiment with various mixed media techniques.  

Suitable for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels.  

For more advanced levels tuition is optional (i.e. participants can work on their own). Some materials and boards are provided for use. Participants are also welcome to bring their own materials/easels to use. 

Tuition will include: 

  • Introduction to basic and classical life drawing skills to enable beginners/intermediate levels to draw anatomy and capture poses easily and efficiently 

  • Techniques for capturing form, tone and composition 

  • Techniques for working with perspective, details of anatomy, proportions etc 

  • Techniques for working with a variety of media e.g. charcoal, pencil, pen, soft pastel, and optionally with acrylic inks or watercolour 

  • Tutor guidance/constructive critique on improving life drawing skills 

The session will comprise of demonstrations or one-to-one guidance as needed, short and long poses with a variety of different male/female models. 

Cost : £15 (£10 booking/tuition fee + £5 model fee) per session

Artist Bio 

This class is taught/tutor guided by local artist Midge (aka B. Mullally BSc MA) who has over 15 years' experience teaching mixed media drawing and painting classes to all ages using and combining different media. Having taught 100+ life drawing classes over the past 5 years, she encourages students to explore their own creative expression, drawing styles, and chosen mediums whilst providing them with support and tuition that encourages and enables them to develop and improve their artistic skills further.
